Hello forum,

I am currently considering the best way to combine an insect screen and an external sunshade. A framed insect screen usually protrudes slightly outward. How can a sunshade still be installed in this case? And what type of sunshade should be used: roller shutters or sunscreens? Or is there another option?

How have you solved the issue of insect screens combined with sunshades?

We have exterior roller shutters with an integrated fly screen roller blind. Of course, it can be used separately. Works perfectly. Down in summer, up in winter.
With venetian blinds it gets difficult because of the space required; we have clamp frames on the windows.
That sounds good. I’m also looking for a solution like that. Would you be willing to share the brand of your roller shutters? Thanks in advance.

Search, for example, for "Beck Heun insect screens." You will find an extensive range, including fly screens already integrated into roller shutter boxes. As far as I know, this manufacturer also offers venetian blind boxes prepared for fly screens.

Sorry, I can’t do that because the brand is not listed on the invoice. At least it is from the OWL region.
