Hello,

We are planning to install a flush-mounted radio in our bathroom. Does anyone have experience with the radios from Busch & Jäger or Gira? Are there any other brands that are recommended?

Does anyone have a recommendation for 2 ceiling speakers?

I would have suggested that too!
The Play 1, for example, costs just under 200€ (about $215) and sounds better than the crackling from the socket, can be expanded into a multi-room system, is perfectly controlled via an app with Internet radio (no static noise!!!) or Spotify, and is even suitable for damp rooms like bathrooms.

The only question left is how to turn the device on in the morning without fiddling with buttons and the phone for ages. Smart home system is not installed.

Hello,

I don’t understand why anyone would spend a lot of money on these “miniature noise makers” that just plug into the socket. For the same price, you could get a small, stylish Tivoli Audio radio with an almost professional-level sound!

Best regards, Barossi

In my opinion, such a radio doesn’t really fit in a modern bathroom. But a Sonos device might be more suitable. Overall, I think it’s great to be able to listen to the radio right at the mirror in the morning.

Well, I have ceiling speakers set up in stereo – your standard radio can’t quite keep up with that.

Also, no cables, batteries, or anything like that... just some simple music.

I’m very happy with the setup – the master bathroom is 12 m² (130 sq ft) and the kids’ bathroom is 6 m² (65 sq ft).

You can set an "alarm" for each speaker. For example, 6:00 to 6:30 in the bathroom Schubert, 6:30 to 6:45 in the kitchen Scooter, 6:45 until departure at 7:15 in the living room Rammstein...
This way, you can preprogram specific playlists or stations for each day and room, avoiding the need to use your smartphone every time.
