Hello,

We are planning to install a flush-mounted radio in our bathroom. Does anyone have experience with the radios from Busch & Jäger or Gira? Are there any other brands that are recommended?

Does anyone have a recommendation for 2 ceiling speakers?

Thanks for the thread. We are currently facing the same question...

No experience so far, but we have Gira on the list first because of the uniform switch design.

I would consider how much longer FM radio reception will actually be available. In the era of DAB and internet radio, it certainly won't remain future-proof for much longer. For this reason, I decided against it and would rather take my Fritzphone into the bathroom, which can also play radio stations via the internet. Additionally, built-in radios are far too expensive for their performance.

It is probably no longer very common to listen to the radio, but we have the simplest model from our E-series B&J, and I am happy with it. Our pre-wall installation for the toilet serves as the resonating body – ingenious.

I am quite sure that we will be listening to FM radio for the next 50 years, but nowadays I would rather install a radio with USB capability, so at least a mobile phone can be connected there. Or Bluetooth, or whatever else.

I installed a Busch Jäger flush-mounted Wi-Fi radio at a friend’s place. I thought the features were quite good. Setup and installation were straightforward. The favorites list and other settings can be configured via smartphone or PC, and it can also be controlled through these devices. Since the speaker is only about the size of a flush-mounted electrical box, you shouldn’t expect very powerful sound. But for its size, it’s perfectly adequate as background music. However, the price is quite high.
