I would like to hear from users who have installed this Avatara Multisense in their homes.
Specifically, I am interested in the Oak Natural Beige 03 in 2100mm (83 inches) plank length.

Steinbock7 Aug 2017 21:33I hope he decided against it.
We installed it throughout a large house and only had problems. Poor quality, gradual graying of the floor, wear marks, peeling of the surface layer, not durable at all, and the floor was never completely clean after mopping. After 6 months, it looked like it was 50 years old. We removed everything again. The manufacturer still claims that the floor meets the quality promised online. Stay away! Hardware store flooring is definitely better!

braintstorm31 Aug 2017 23:02Hello "Steinbock",
We are currently deciding between installing laminate or Multi-Sense flooring. Did you order the flooring online or purchase it directly from a specialist retailer? We have seen the flooring and materials on site and had a very good first impression. The flooring is softer than laminate but also feels warmer and still more durable than engineered wood. That’s why we actually liked the material. Perhaps you could share your experience in more detail and let us know exactly which Multi-Sense flooring you installed. It would definitely help us a lot.
Thank you very much and best regards

Steinbock1 Sep 2017 08:48Hello braintstorm,
I’m happy to help... Yes, we bought the flooring from a specialist retailer and spent about four weeks consulting and gathering information beforehand. We took sample pieces home and tested them thoroughly. We needed an extremely durable floor because we have two large dogs. I made sure to emphasize this to the retailer repeatedly. Originally, we wanted to use vinyl since we had excellent experiences with it in the past. However, the retailer somewhat discouraged us from choosing vinyl—unfortunately! We ended up choosing Avatara Flor A01 in cream-white oak – this product has since been discontinued.
Avatara is certainly warmer than laminate but not as comfortable as vinyl. Based on our experience, I would generally advise against Avatara; as I said, anything would be better than that. We have now received completely new vinyl flooring free of charge as a goodwill gesture, since the manufacturer still maintains that the Avatara was acceptable. We had independent inspectors from the company come, and they always confirmed this. Hiring our own inspector would have been very expensive, and a quick solution was needed because we had been living with this flooring for half a year and were seriously considering legal action.
Eventually, without admitting any liability—as is often the case—we were offered the option to choose a new floor. We then went with vinyl and have been completely satisfied ever since. For years, we also had laminate flooring in various apartments and it always worked well, but I would never choose Avatara again.

braintstorm1 Sep 2017 11:31Hello Steinbock,
Thank you very much for the detailed report. We will definitely follow up with the dealer to ask more questions. What makes me a bit concerned, regardless of your comments, is the fact that there are hardly any other online reviews about Multisense apart from your report. In any case, we will ask the dealer for additional customers who have this flooring installed and possibly visit them. Hopefully, the version installed at their homes, which has since been discontinued, is the cause of the issues you described. I hope you are no longer facing any problems.
Thank you again for your response.
