Hello, we have a dormer in the attic with a floor-to-ceiling window (about 1.40 m (5 feet) high x 2.40 m (8 feet) wide). We are now considering which type of window to install there.
The nicest option would probably be to use a fixed window element since the window area is limited anyway. However, the problem would be that the window frame starts at an exterior height of about 6.50 m (21 feet), making it difficult to clean from the outside. An alternative would be to install a double casement window with a glass fall protection system. What do you think?

That sounds more like a cross-gable dormer to me. Would it be possible to illustrate the question with a picture?

Yes, by definition it is a cross gable. Here is a photo from the inside at an earlier stage; the sides are now closed. This is all I have available at the moment. We would like to set up a reading area there.
