Hannes83Hello,
we are currently renovating a house built in 1976 and had to remove the screed in about two-thirds of the ground floor. The original build-up height was mostly 7.5cm (2cm EPS, 4.5cm screed, 1cm tiles), but in one corner only 6cm (uneven concrete). Below is an unheated basement.
We plan to install underfloor heating and increase the build-up height by 2cm, using a dry screed system to save height (for better insulation).
The idea is as follows: 1cm EPS for minor unevenness / a leveling layer for larger irregularities. On top, 2 to 3cm of aluminum-foiled PUR floor insulation panels. Above that, a 3cm EPS system panel for the underfloor heating. Then the heat distribution plates, followed by 2cm dry screed. The floor covering will be a click-lock rigid vinyl (4.4mm) plus 1.6mm impact sound insulation.
Would this work? What type of leveling material would be suitable?
In the adjacent room, the screed is fine, but we want to match the +2cm build-up height of that room. A similar vinyl flooring is planned there as well. Are there insulation panels that can be installed between the screed and vinyl for this purpose?
Thank you!
