Hello everyone,
the small plot of 18m by 18m (59ft by 59ft), totaling 324m² (3,484ft²), is located in sunny Baden-Württemberg in a highly sought-after area where there are hardly any plots or available apartments. Therefore, we won’t complain about this "small plot." We have planned for a long time, and the structural engineering should also work out as designed. Now, of course, we are interested in your opinions, especially your helpful suggestions for improvement, criticism, or praise.
I will address technical details separately.
Thank you very much.
Best regards, Freiburger2020

I actually meant a photo taken from the street looking onto the property, so that you can see the neighbor’s gable. You want to build onto that one, right? Who requires you to make the roof and house façades identical?
Your parents' house is also quite close to the street.
Have the existing buildings already been demolished?

7: Entrance of the existing old building, which is to be demolished and subdivided into 2 plots Most likely, a duplex will be built there. This will cast significant shade on your southeast side. Therefore, keeping a 2 m (6.5 ft) setback toward the street is definitely helpful.
Choose an architect experienced with building infill projects. Without legal requirements, I would have positioned the house quite differently and oriented the garden not toward the street, but toward the parents. This would make it appear larger and possibly be usable without a fence.

Finally, finally some suggestions 🙂 I gladly accept the last three posts! I had already given up hope that anything constructive would come from this! If you only appreciate, as "constructive" suggestions, pictures of other courtyards that also receive sunlight only at midday during winter, but at the same time consistently ignore the repeatedly made constructive advice to "consult an architect," then please continue to give up—the whole situation is simply unbearable to watch. I’m out then. The request for "less pictures, more information" was made several times, and then you casually imply that the house is identical in profile to the neighbor’s, after you had previously insisted throughout on the "everything is allowed" approach based on the common misunderstanding that "§34 = carte blanche" :-(

Proposal to buy lots 10 and 11 at a fair price and build 4 townhouses on them. Sell 2 for a profit and you can develop the two in the southwest according to your own wishes. Alternatively, negotiate with the neighbor to realize the project together. Both of you benefit from the setback area.
