Hello everyone!

We have purchased a triangular plot of land. As if that weren’t complicated enough, there is also a large oak tree that must be considered during the planning. In our initial considerations, it quickly became clear that the floor plan will have an L-shape.

Does anyone here have experience with this type of plot and a correspondingly shaped floor plan? What additional information is needed to get meaningful advice?

Best regards

He has already reported us as well. The construction site is said to be improperly set up.

A poor little fellow of the “Ekel Alfred” type.

Have fun with a neighbor like that – ours are harmless in comparison.

Make sure to include privacy screening on that side!

What were you allowed to build there?
Its beautiful view,
the construction noise,
just plopping down a modern box like that.

Hopefully, he got what's coming to him before you move in.

I’m glad that the worst I had to deal with during our house construction was some gossip. I can’t complain about my neighbors. On the contrary, the demolition was well documented by the local council, and we even received a USB stick with great photos. They really put in a lot of effort.
The doctor supplied coffee to the construction workers until the shell was weather-tight and kept records of everything.
The pastor endured the dust and noise but only asked that the demolition be paused during funerals.

At some point, you’ve moved in. Sitting on your patio under the large oak tree – it’s a great way to cope with a hot summer – and you laugh about it.

Make sure to plan for a privacy screen facing that way!

Fortunately, he is not our immediate neighbor!

Update: Construction halt because the excavator operator hit an illegally laid high-voltage cable from the utility company!

I hope the colleague is doing well.
By the way, a friend of mine sells defibrillators.

The worst part was the neighbor who’s been bothering us since day one: he came onto the site with a smug attitude and claimed, "I knew there was a power cable there!" Unbelievable, right?

At least morally, yes. Maybe the excavator operator’s lawyer can make more of this. I’m not sure if criminal law recognizes complicity in cases of negligent bodily injury.
