Hello everyone!
We have purchased a triangular plot of land. As if that weren’t complicated enough, there is also a large oak tree that must be considered during the planning. In our initial considerations, it quickly became clear that the floor plan will have an L-shape.
Does anyone here have experience with this type of plot and a correspondingly shaped floor plan? What additional information is needed to get meaningful advice?
Best regards

After I asked her if she was serious, she told me that she had a special eye on me, would stop by regularly to check on me, and might even arrange aerial photos of my property. She’s into you, you fool!Oakland schrieb:
In winter, yes!
No, seriously: Of course the large oak tree blocks a lot of light when it has leaves (is that the right way to say it?). On the other hand, it also provides significant shade. Thinking back to the extreme summer of 2018, maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Well, in winter there is hardly any natural light anyway. So you need good lighting planning. That is also why I suggest planning windows wherever possible—on the north, east, south, and west sides anyway. Wherever windows can be installed, I would put them there, carefully planning usable space and making use of every corner.

At what point does the tree canopy actually start? Are you in the middle of it when on the upper floor, or are you still looking “up from below”?Being in the middle rather than just there

Right in the middle of it, not just watching from the sidelinesBut that’s great: in winter, there are no leaves (only on the ground), so you get plenty of light; in summer, you look out onto the most beautiful natural wallpaper you could imagine.
