ᐅ Floor plan for a detached single-family house with a gable roof, 180 m², without a basement

Hello everyone,

we would like to get your feedback on the attached floor plan. Our goal is to create a bright, open, and spacious feeling.

The main entrance is planned from the east. There is also an entrance from the double garage through the utility room.

The north side is where the staircase is located. The black square in the living room represents a double-sided fireplace built into a wall (room divider).

We look forward to your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions for improvement :-)

Strange floor plan..

A staircase in the living room—if children have friends over, they just walk right past you.

An entrance hall of 18m2 (194 sq ft) is not bad either, but what is the purpose of this little nook?

As described above, this is a fireplace installed within a wall that serves as a room divider.

You have planned a table with 10 chairs, but a sofa that is smaller than the one in our small old rental apartment. I would reconsider and redesign some parts of the layout.

You don’t have to sit with 10 people on the couch... but at the dining table, you do.
Where are you planning to put the wardrobe?
Are you sustainably just the two of you?
I find the kitchen a bit cramped. I would reconsider and possibly go for a single row plus an island.

Thanks for your feedback. The cloakroom will be placed in the hallway to the left of the entrance. Yes, we are “only” two people.
