What is the most important / fundamental question about the floor plan summarized in 130 characters?
Because of this forum, the building shell is planned as it currently is. The lower residential floor is to be half embedded into the slope on the valley side. On the open side are the two bedrooms and the main entrance. To the right, the double garage, also partly embedded in the slope. In the slope are the utility room and a bathroom. The ground floor above is planned entirely for living, with terraces and garden access, plus a small bathroom.

Fire away and thank you all.
Plan top is north.

Thank you for the feedback and the many pictures. The roof should almost be finished by now.

Has there been any change to the floor plan?

The roof is now fully covered. The windows were supposed to arrive this week, but they didn’t. A new attempt is planned for next week. We’ll see.
Not much has changed in the floor plan. Some walls were shifted here and there, and rooms were enlarged or reduced in size. The shower in the upstairs guest bathroom had to be removed.
We also rotated the house slightly more toward the west.

I really like the floor plan as it is, except for the strong separation of the living and dining areas caused by the staircase. But of course, that’s a matter of personal taste and also has its advantages. In any case, you have integrated the house into the slope very well.

The separation is intentional. The only uncertainty was whether to separate the kitchen or the living room.
Yes, the slope was/is quite steep. And although I had expected a significant amount of excavation, it turned out to be even more than anticipated... Fortunately, the plot is large enough so that nothing had to be taken to a landfill. 🙂

Yes, exactly turned into the slope. Great.
The shower in the toilet is completely unnecessary.

Update. In December, the windows finally arrived, and work continued again in January. The rough-in electrical installation, rough-in plumbing, and interior plastering were completed. We were also able to continue work on the double garage, which is a self-performed task. The ceiling was poured there this week.
A 6000-liter (1585-gallon) retention cistern was installed.
The utility connections to the house were also laid. Fiber optic is still missing.
The floor structure inside the house might start next week before the underfloor heating can be installed. Attached are some pictures from December ’22 until now.
