Don’t do that, it’s the dining room (family meeting point) 😀
Well, it was just a suggestion; for me, it would be too tight, and the hallway would be unnecessarily long.

Yes, that's true, but I would prefer to have the kitchen and living room separated. Otherwise, wouldn't an open dining area in between look a bit strange? Is the rest of the house okay like this?

I find the children's rooms very small. I would prefer to have both kids' rooms downstairs and the attic as a complete master area. Why did you place the bathrooms centrally? Is that because of the attic bathroom? I don’t like the downpipe and the partition wall in the already tight dining area next to the fireplace. You lose valuable space there.

Wastl, how else could the bathrooms be arranged better if not centrally? I thought it might not be ideal mainly because of the sloped ceilings. And the walk-in closet will also be difficult to fit under the slope, right?

Do you already have children?

In my opinion, the children should also move to the middle floor—not only because of the larger rooms, but also for your own peace of mind. 😉 Our son is 5 1/2 years old. When he’s sitting in his room one floor above us and can’t get something right while building with LEGO, he calls for me. If he then can’t bring the finished piece downstairs (because it’s too big), I not only have to interrupt my work here but also go upstairs. With two children and this happening several times a day, it would bother me a lot.

Even if the children have slept poorly, are sick, etc., you always have to go two floors up from the living room.

On the other hand, you only really need your bedroom at night.

You have about 2 meters (6.5 feet) of cabinet space above for tall cabinets, and then you can place stepped cabinet units on the end wall down to dressers.

I’m a man, so cabinets are not that important to me.

The bathrooms could be installed above the toilets. I’ll send you our floor plan for comparison – this is only meant as an alternative, not as a “mine is better” statement.
