Hello,
I hope you can share your opinions on our floor plan for a semi-detached house on a very small plot.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

Are there really only these small windows in the children's rooms? Or are there additional roof windows as well? Otherwise, these rooms will be very dark.

Do you really need such a large office? It is noticeably bigger than the children's rooms.

First, I would swap the cloakroom with the WC to give the WC a window. Second, I would remove the wall between the dining area and the staircase. If you are concerned about noise with two children, I would suggest separating the living room a bit more. You could also consider relocating the staircase from its current position and adding a partial wall where the basement entrance is.

For the cloakroom, plan for a built-in wardrobe 80cm (31.5 inches) deep, accessible from the hallway side.

There aren’t many options with a semi-detached house if it is built by a developer.

Hello and thank you very much for the feedback,
a few more explanations:
The children’s rooms also have skylights.
The office is actually half office and half guest room.
The dining room was deliberately separated.
Do you have any other suggestions?

May I ask why?

We currently have an open-plan kitchen/dining/living area, but we’d prefer to separate them again. Although it’s not shown on the plan, there will be a glass sliding door between the dining and living areas.
One of the reasons is that the kids and their friends don’t always run straight through the dining and living rooms.
