Hello dear community,
I have been a silent reader in this forum so far and am always impressed by the ideas shared here. Now I need some help myself.
We are currently planning an extension to our house. Upstairs, we want to create our new bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. However, the current design does not fully convince us yet. Maybe you can help us with a creative idea for a redesign.
What is important to us:
- The north side and the street side are at the bottom of the plan. Therefore, we would preferably like to keep the sleeping area on the south side if possible.
- All windows and walls in the room can be changed. Only the door to the bedroom must remain in its current position.
Attached is the floor plan. What do you think? What alternatives do we have?
Thank you in advance for your ideas and best regards
Hannah

We really like the floor plan. Thanks @hanghaus2023! Do you think the bathroom might feel cramped in this layout because of the low ceiling height? It’s not quite a knee wall of 1 m (3.3 ft) yet. 😉 I positioned the toilet and bathtub on the lower side. You could also add a skylight to bring in some more light.
The bathroom could also work with a shower bathtub, which would free up space for a washer and dryer.
