Hello,
I’m sharing our design draft here now.
In the plans, north is at the top.
The plot size is 550 sqm (6,000 sq ft).
Eaves height max 4.5 m (15 ft), ridge height max 9.5 m (31 ft).
At first glance, we noticed that the hallway on the ground floor is quite large. We would possibly prefer a smaller hallway and a somewhat bigger living/dining area, but we have no idea how to do this sensibly.
Otherwise, we basically like the overall concept and would want to implement it as is if there are no major planning flaws.
I would appreciate if some critical and helpful feedback could be shared.

These are just minor details. For example, I would have the door to the storage room open outwards, otherwise you won’t have any space inside at all. I would place the door to the living room directly opposite the staircase.
Start thinking about where to store the stroller and car seat, and later you’ll need enough cupboards or shelves for multiple jackets, waterproof pants, rubber boots, sports bags, school backpacks, and so on.
With this hallway plus the storage closet, I don’t see a problem. But if the hallway were smaller, you might regret it later.

Having the kitchen facing the street is a matter of personal preference. I find it more practical to have it at the back, overlooking the garden. For example, I have to run from the kitchen to the dining room every time to check on the kids or call them for meals. Also, no one can see any possible pile of dishes from the garden (which can happen with kids if you have to leave quickly).
As for the home office facing south, you probably won’t get much benefit from that orientation. Most people install interior blinds there because they find the sun creates glare on the computer screen.
Regarding the L-shape of the living room, I agree, I actually like that quite a bit. However, you don’t have to continue the wall straight through; you can extend it a bit further into the living area and then place the sofa slightly away from the window.

The problem then would be that the office becomes very large because the position of the door is fixed due to the staircase. Moving the living room a bit further in is no longer really an option. Originally, our plan was to have it set back a bit with the couch there. However, we actually prefer it like this. We would just like to have a bit more space in the living room. But if we now move the northern living room wall half a meter (20 inches) to the north, the hallway will probably become too narrow and the space in front of the stairs very cramped.

I often don’t understand that. You plan a house completely according to your wishes and don’t think about the furniture at all.
