Access only, no door — that way you can also see who is entering through the door. You still have other senses... 😉 Don’t overthink it and assume you’re living with a thousand strangers in a bunker.
However, I would prefer internal access to the bathroom, so if the chimney is in the way, then more changes would be necessary.
