Of course, you can think everything about your house is great. That’s quite subjective and psychologically much healthier than getting upset about what you might have done differently.

But I have to say, people who are truly happy with their house and floor plan don’t seek out questions or subforums like this one. If I were happy in my marriage, I wouldn’t sign up for Tinder…

We asked about your needs, but unfortunately there was no response. If you feel the need to constantly step into the bathtub when cleaning the windows, that’s your choice. But I also imagine it’s not you but your wife who does that. And you don’t really experience the space your children have—one thing is subjective (some call it taste without realizing they have none 😉), the other is rules, knowledge, and learned principles that prevent negative outcomes or, let’s say, functional issues from arising in the first place.

The design was built back in 2019, and today we can say that it fits our needs perfectly.
We planned the upper floor to be rather small, while the ground floor and basement, including the granny flat, are larger. The separated walk-in closet (due to different wake-up times) and the relatively small bathroom suit us completely.

Even the children’s rooms turned out really nice despite the corners.

But of course, tastes vary.

I find it a bit inappropriate to thank the helpers in that way.

So why don’t you show us the floor plan of the ground floor and some pictures of the final result? That should be worth it for your ego.
