Hello dear community,
I would really like to hear your opinions on our floor plan design. We have been refining it for quite some time. It is very important for us to have plenty of natural light, a large open living and dining area, a study, equally sized children’s rooms, and a separate area for us (bedroom, walk-in closet, bathroom). For this reason, we are also considering replacing the bathroom door leading to the hallway with a door towards the bedroom. It is important to know that to the west there are only fields and forests that will not be developed in the future. I am happy to provide more information if you would like.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Lukas

But like this:
the terrace is in the corner of the house facing northeast, right? Are you confusing the terrace with the garage? The terrace is at the bottom of the image, facing west.

Well, the floor plans in post 7 don’t seem to be oriented the same way? It would be a courtesy and helpful for clarity to include a north arrow on each plan. Sometimes I really wonder who thinks this through when posting. The terrace is shown on the west side in every post.

The problem is that in the south you face the village road towards the next village (including a farm) and can therefore hear some traffic. So the west side is much nicer. It’s not about the view, it’s about sunlight entering the interior spaces and the resulting brightness and comfort.
I just wrote this in another thread: I wouldn’t overemphasize "views." Of course, people focus on having a great view, but you don’t just look out in your free time. During the day, you’re at work or busy with daily tasks around the house, in the evening you watch TV or sit outside on the terrace in summer... but you also garden or do other things.
You don’t build a house just to "look outside" in the future.

Why am I unable to edit or delete my own posts? Can someone help me with this? You can, but not indefinitely. Otherwise, discussions would lose their purpose.
