The drawn-in furniture has actually been sized to match our existing pieces.
Currently, we only have a 40cm (15.7 inches) aisle between the dresser and the bed, but now 70cm (27.6 inches) is planned. The bed is designed with dimensions of 2 x 2.20 m (6.6 x 7.2 ft) to allow for beds with upholstered headboards. So you’re building a house just to end up with a bedroom as cramped as a rental apartment, but with nice wide hallways? And to get dressed in a 1.10 m (3.6 ft) wide, four-meter-long (13.1 ft) windowless narrow space?

The upper floor is a mix of wasted space and cramped areas.Could you tell me where exactly you see wasted space so I can possibly improve it? Adding a window could also help turn the "narrow, dark corridor" into a pleasant passageway. Otherwise, of course, such a room is a matter of personal taste.M
Myrna_Loy2 Nov 2021 16:33Take a look at the floor plans of prefabricated house providers for three bedrooms on the upper floor. There are many good solutions available, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

Bauwunsch852 Nov 2021 16:34In fact, our master bedroom has the lowest priority when it comes to being a comfortable retreat, and we know that a room measuring 11 m² (118 sq ft) is sufficient for sleeping. The walk-in closet/dressing room also serves as a sort of storage room for various items that need to be put away, but with a nice wardrobe system and everything neatly organized. Only one side of it is used for clothing.

Only one side of it is used for clothing. It’s obvious you don’t have children yet. With small children, especially babies, you spend significantly more time in the bedroom than without kids. So you shouldn’t plan it like a cabin on a budget cruise ship. It’s perfectly fine to allow one meter (3 feet) more.
