Dear all,

Attached is the current floor plan of our family bathroom. The masons will start working on the interior walls in the next few days.
We decided not to separate the toilet with a sliding door, so the walls will not be full height but only 1.20 m (4 feet) high as simple privacy walls. The short wall section extending by the partition next to the bathtub will be omitted.
We expect this will create a slightly more spacious feeling and allow more light into the bathroom, which is not very large anyway.

Overall, we like the layout quite well, but it doesn’t really create a "wow" effect. So our question is: could it be improved significantly, or should we leave it as it is?

The window side faces east, and the right side on the plan faces north. The windows and utility room positions are fixed. Doors can be adjusted.

But the drainage location is already fixed, right?
Where would it be? By the toilet?

Where exactly is it? By the toilet?

You can see the drain in the plan in the purple-shaded wall section "under" the bathtub.
It is fixed, yes. If I understood the plumber correctly, the layout of the fixtures is still flexible, as they will do it in the floor...

So, the door to the utility room is also accessible from the hallway? (Always those cropped floor plans :rolleyes
What would bother me a lot: the sinks are quite dark. Could you quickly mark the room dimensions? I can’t make it out...

If I understand correctly, all these "modesty" partitions are now supposed to be only 120 cm (47 inches) high, so that the area around the sinks is also brighter.

And yes... what exactly is supposed to go into this utility room?

In theory, yes, but in practice we would prefer access from the bathroom. Towels, first aid kit, toiletries stock, toilet paper, cleaning supplies...

3.015 m (9 ft 11 in) deep = hallway-exterior wall / 3.26 m (10 ft 8 in) wide

Correct. For exactly that reason. So, the same height as the pre-wall installations and the wall tiles.

Washing machine, dryer, laundry basket, shelves with: see above, towels, first aid kit, toiletries stock, toilet paper, cleaning supplies. This is only the laundry utility room; everything else is downstairs in the technical room (i.e., water crates, vacuum cleaner, recycling paper, etc.)
