House Design
Planner: self-designed
What do you like especially? Why? = the separation of living room with kitchen and dining area
Preferred heating technology: air heat pump

If you had to give up, on which details/features
- can you give up: maybe the pantry
- cannot give up:

Why is the design the way it is?
For example: a lot of self-designed plans and visits to prefab homes

Hello! We already have another plan shared in this forum, but we are considering changing from a straight staircase to a spiral staircase.

What do you think about my design?
Is there enough space for the pantry behind the kitchen?
How do you find the room sizes?

This is the show home from Schwörerhaus, which was featured on YouTube by Hausbauhelden. There is plenty of natural light in the entrance area, no artificial lighting.
I just took a look.
But you did notice that in the video, on the brightest day, all the lights are turned on, right?

Please provide clear dimensions, labels, and furniture layout (without laminate flooring). Then “take another look.”
Addition: in a floor plan. And windows would also be needed.

I don’t understand. Personally, I think the floor plan is good!

Which is why only 37 changes are requested… 😀

Addition: furthermore, the show house has a large sliding door to the living room directly opposite the front door. In the floor plan, there is only a smaller door offset opposite the staircase.

On the upper floor, a fixed glazing at least 2 meters wide (6.6 feet) is planned in the staircase area. This should provide enough daylight. At night, darkness is naturally to be expected anyway 😉

The window is also in the show home, right? That’s quite far away up there.

A video is always recorded with main lighting. Schwörerhaus will pay a lot for the shooting — nobody is walking around with an amateur camera.

Bright entrance area with blue front door, wooden staircase on the right, coat rack and bench.

A person in a red jacket and scarf standing in the hallway in front of an open black door; staircase on the right.

But anyway. In the design we are discussing, the layout is not as open as in the Schwörerhaus.
However, this can be fixed by using a door with glass. Here the door is closed because the house opens in the opposite direction and no one can look into the dining area.
