Hello everyone,
I have made a few changes to our floor plan. 00 is the current plan and 01 is my proposed version.
The advantage of 01 is having a window in the kitchen and more space in the utility room. If a covered entrance is desired, that can be added (it does not necessarily have to be a side entrance door from the carport).
What do you think?
Another consideration is the entrance door from the living room, where a sliding door would make the most sense. However, there is a lack of about 17 cm (7 inches) of space for this. There were two suggestions: 1. extend the wardrobe 17 cm (7 inches) into child’s room 1, 2. make the study, utility room, and kitchen 17 cm (7 inches) narrower. I don’t really like either of these options.
Does anyone maybe have a better idea?
Any other suggestions and improvements?
We would really appreciate your opinions.
Best regards

And it should be switchable, it shouldn’t be a dummy outlet for burglars ;-) Good idea. A frost-proof outdoor faucet should also be able to be turned off from inside, right?

You don’t need to duplicate this. As long as you don’t worry that your neighbor might use your water for their sprinkler system while you’re on vacation, this is usually unnecessary.

During the holidays, I turn off the water at the water meter to prevent any issues. I worry, for example, if teenagers coming home from a club on the weekend want to drink tap water but forget to turn it off.
Regarding the window sill height in the utility room, I think it makes more sense if it is relatively high so that a small cabinet can be placed in front of the window, right? (101 cm wide and 76 cm high (40 inches wide and 30 inches high))
