Hello dear forum members,
Does anyone have experience with a level-access shower with underfloor heating?

Best regards

We have just decided against it.

Now to the key argument for us: A modern new build will hardly have a higher underfloor heating temperature than 23-24°C (73-75°F). Water that is noticeably warmer in the shower for 3 minutes should also warm up the tiles quite quickly.

Unless you prefer cold showers, but in that case, the heating issue is hardly relevant.

On the other hand, the additional costs for this one square meter of underfloor heating are negligible...

Yep. We did it, really like it, and would do it again. It didn’t cost us extra.

I don’t have a photo of the finished shower with the drain right now. I can gladly provide one upon request.

...the waterproofing is much more complicated, especially since the screed in the shower requires a slope.

Both the screed installer and the sanitation expert advised against it. And yes, after just one minute of showering, the floor is noticeably warmer from the hot shower water than in the areas with underfloor heating.
