Hello,

I would like to install a walk-in shower at floor level. Unfortunately, there is a window right in the middle of the room. The bathroom is only 5m² (54 ft²) in size. Currently, there is a bathtub installed, which I would remove to install the shower. Has anyone done something similar? If so, is it possible to see pictures of how this was solved?

Very centered... it would be helpful to have a dimensioned floor plan. Centered on a 3m (10 ft) wall is different from centered on a 150cm (5 ft) wall, and a window width of 150cm (5 ft) is different from 50cm (20 inches).

How is anyone supposed to give you an idea like that?????

I agree with that. It’s hard to suggest anything if the room dimensions, as well as the layout of the installations and the window, are not known.

Your problem will most likely be the water drainage

Small bathroom with a white bathtub on the left, window on the wall, radiator on the right, beige tiles.

Our bathroom looked like this before

Small bathroom with washing machine, shower, sink, and window

Do it like this afterwards!
I recommend creating a slight slope on the windowsill so that water can drain off.

Hello,

what do you mean by the slope?

Currently, the bathroom looks like this:

Bright bathroom with bathtub, toilet, sink, window, and decorative rug.

The window is positioned almost in the center.

Its dimensions are as follows:

Length: 2.7 meters (9 feet)
Width: 2 meters (6.5 feet).

The problem is this window.

I also spoke with a plumber yesterday; the shower tray would take up some space in front of the window.

Anyone else have ideas?
