Hello,

does anyone here perhaps have practical experience?

What size should a walk-in "open" (3 walls) shower with floor-level entry have to prevent water from splashing out significantly?

Ours is 1.70 m (5 feet 7 inches) wide, and my architect said that it can splash out there as well...

Water splashing can also happen at 3m (10 feet), depending on the type of showerhead and its settings...

However, with "normal" shower use, it’s probably limited to around 1.5m (5 feet)... we have 1.2m (4 feet) and one tile outside the shower occasionally gets wet... so approximately 30cm (12 inches) beyond that.

I agree with mycraft on this. It’s not possible to get it perfect. We currently have a walk-in shower with a glass partition at least 1.5 m deep (5 feet). Based on this experience, it shouldn’t be any less. We have a bath mat placed in front of the shower.

We are planning with just over 1.6 m (5 feet 3 inches), possibly a few centimeters (inches) more.

We have 1.5 meters (5 feet). Water rarely sprays out there, but it does happen occasionally, at least when using the rain shower.

When I shower, the water sprays about 1 to 1.20 meters (3.3 to 4 feet). When my wife showers, the 1.60 meters (5.2 feet) of our shower are sometimes slightly exceeded as well 😉
