Good evening,

My partner and I would like to buy a solid wood kitchen made of beech, wild beech, or oak.

However, we are a bit unsure about which type of flooring to choose for the open-plan kitchen.

Would parquet flooring combined with a solid wood kitchen be too much wood?
If parquet is not recommended as flooring, what would you suggest?

In my opinion, yes.

Tiles?!

It depends on the house and the living style. A wooden floor with a wooden kitchen can look good if the woods match each other. However, this can be a bit tricky. Beech is a type of wood that hardly matches with anything.

Bright dining room: round marble table, wooden furniture, chandelier, window plants, kitchen area.

In your opinion, do the pictures now serve as examples of suitable or unsuitable, or both? For me, actually only the second one fits.

For me, only the second one really fits.

In the past, people used to say: green and blue make the pig look beautiful...
These pictures probably represent the early days of an era in 10 years’ time, when you have to take what’s available on the market due to restrictions on deforestation 😉

I find the first picture somewhat suitable. For me, there is too much wood.
