We are building a KfW Efficiency House 55, a 1-liter house with underfloor heating and an air-to-water heat pump.
About 100 sqm (1,076 sq ft) of the living areas will be covered with floating parquet flooring (thermal resistance 0.12), while the rest will be tiled.
I understand that tiles have a lower thermal resistance...
I am interested in your experiences and opinions. Is higher energy consumption noticeable? How much of a percentage difference could it be?
Thanks and good luck
Christian

Extra consumption? About $5 per year ;-)
No idea, but you shouldn’t worry about it since it’s probably not measurable. More measurable is the extra consumption caused by higher temperature settings in the house or tilted windows.
