Good day,

I bought the swivel chair Flintan the day before yesterday, but the casters are "fixed," meaning I can hardly glide it across the floor without causing scratches. Is there something that needs to be adjusted? Or do I need to exchange it?

Hello,

maybe a silly question, but: do you have trouble rolling when you are sitting in the swivel chair or when you try to move it while empty? If the latter, is that intentional (self-locking casters)?

Uhm, actually, if I want to move it without sitting on it, why is it like this? It hasn’t been like this for a long time, because my brother has two of these chairs, the oldest is 4 years old, and everything works fine!
But it’s also annoying because the scraping makes marks on the floor.

Hello,

why? Well, it is stated in the product description:
Information
This professional office chair has been tested for office use and meets the requirements for safety, durability, and stability according to EN 1335-2 and ANSI/BIFMA x5.1-2002.
The casters lock automatically when the chair is not in use.
There are also non-locking casters; perhaps those were installed in earlier versions ...

Just look up office chair casters. Without brakes, the chair could roll backward when you stand up, potentially hitting a cabinet or even running over a child, or...
