I am currently working on the floor plan for my apartment, which is part of a larger construction project with centralized planning. I have only limited options to make changes to the layout.
The bathroom is quite small (220 x 180cm (87 x 71 inches)). How large should a shower be to allow comfortable use without bumping into anything?
At the moment, I shower standing in a bathtub that is 180cm (71 inches) long and open at the front. It’s difficult for me to compare or measure.
What is a practical and comfortable size for a shower?

As a minimum, I would suggest 90x90 cm (35x35 inches). Smaller dimensions significantly compromise comfort.

Yes, Willo, I suspected that. At the showroom, I stood in an 80x80 cm (31x31 inches) shower and found it just a bit too small. But I was wearing clothes, so I wasn’t completely sure.

I have planned an 80x100 cm (31x39 inches) shower, with the 100 cm (39 inches) being the width and the 80 cm (31 inches) the depth. I think I mostly need space in width rather than depth. Thanks in advance for your assessment.

We still have 120x80 (47x31 inches) here in our older house, and it works well for two people. You can also shower small children very easily in it.

Eldea, do you have the 80 in width, meaning from right to left when showering, or in depth so that you have a width of 120? Either way, that would definitely be enough for me.
