ᐅ First step toward the new open-plan kitchen! Is this design feasible?

Good morning,

we have now reached the point where we need to think about the kitchen in our new build.
The current plan looks like this:

2D kitchen floor plan with sink, stove, and base cabinets in L-shape

It was very important to us that the oven/microwave and dishwasher are not located at floor level.
We have not yet decided whether to install a downdraft extractor or a slanted hood. However, due to the ventilation system, we need an automatic extraction duct to the exterior wall, similar to a Flow Star 150.

The initial quote shocked us a bit. After some calculations, the kitchen planner came up with 12,000 euros (without appliances) for a Nobilia kitchen with good gloss fronts and mid-range drawers.

Since the space is quite limited, would you do anything differently?
Any tips or comments?
How do you assess the price in relation to the kitchen?
Since the manufacturer uses standard sizes, would you prefer to buy from a large furniture store or from a smaller kitchen studio?

Thank you for your help!

That’s exactly my concern. Length is 181cm (71 inches) plus a wardrobe recessed 90cm (35 inches) on the left. Width is 353cm (139 inches)

What is planned underneath the kitchen now? And what is in the center of the house? Is there potential to move walls, etc.?

No, even 17,500. But I have categorically rejected that already, since I would pay much less for devices purchased myself.

Installation and warranty also cost money. If I were you, I would quickly share your plans here so the wall layout can be reviewed to get the best possible solution. Price is the least of your concerns now.
Or is everything already built?

Actually, the external walls are fixed. Only the internal wall could be slightly altered. We don’t want to change other rooms anymore, so the dimensions are as described above. The niche on the right can be extended somewhat by omitting the partition, but only slightly with an 11.5cm (4.5 inches) wall. On the left, however, you can freely open into the room and extend further into the space.

Of course, but those costs are included in the price without appliances. Besides, the appliance warranty is covered by the manufacturer.

I can only imagine the kitchen layout this way if the dishwasher is to be installed at a raised height.

Floor plan of a kitchen and dining area: dining table at the top, kitchen unit at the bottom; red area on the left.

Modern kitchen with gray cabinets, kitchen island, oven, sink, and large window, wooden floor.

I assume the sink is not intended to be installed in the island, although that would make more sense.

The island is 240cm (94 inches) long, plus panel/side covering.

The dishwasher is installed at a raised height on the left side of the plan. Between the tall cabinets, there is space for two 80cm (31.5 inches) wide base units, one of which is for the sink, which would then be installed about 15–20cm (6–8 inches) from the left edge of the base unit.

You should avoid corners since the room is not very large.

Currently, our planning is focused on this version from a well-known kitchen studio.

Only the window does not fit in size and position. It needs to be slightly smaller and lower so that the countertop can be integrated as a window sill.

A quick question for the experts: The refrigerator and oven section is to be covered with a lightweight partition wall. Is it better to build this before or after plastering?

Doing it before plastering saves work steps.
