Do you have any experience with applying filler (we are getting Q2 from the construction company), painting, and installing flooring (click vinyl) as DIY work AFTER moving in?
Of course, I know it would be better to do this BEFORE moving in. But I’m afraid it won’t be possible, or at best complicated and with additional costs.

I would like to revisit the question and ask for your advice regarding the ideal order of tasks.

We will have a floating screed installed throughout the entire house (basement, ground floor, upper floor, and attic). The walls will be finished to Q2 standard. After the handover from the builder, we will start with the owner-performed work:
  • Floor work
  • Wallpapering
  • Painting

What is the recommended sequence to proceed? The bathrooms will be completed by the builder. My current understanding is:
  • Level and possibly sand the floors. Due to dust generation, we want to do this first.
  • Fill and smooth the walls, then apply fleece wallpaper.
  • Painting
  • Install the flooring.

Does this order seem about right? We plan to do the painting and floor installation ourselves, while the first two steps will be done by contractors. In terms of priority, the kitchen area needs to be completed first, as it affects the rest of the ground floor, basement (storage, laundry room, etc.), and upper floor (bedrooms). The attic can be finalized after moving in.
