We would be interested in pictures, specifically regarding the feeling of space in terms of coziness and lighting conditions. There are many pictures available online of rooms with vaulted ceilings and low knee walls, but unfortunately not of rooms without knee walls.
Thank you very much

I don’t understand your question. Your title partly applies to our attic space, but also to many other areas. To be precise, an attic space is the area under the roof without a knee wall (and not the light well on the second full floor). It may be true that other houses (e.g. with knee walls) have attic spaces as well, but what you mentioned in your title is not something special.

Thank you very muchI don’t have any pictures yet, but we are building our house exactly like that. The upper floor is open with exposed roof trusses. Many of our friends and acquaintances have built similarly, and we really like it.

seniordingdong14 Jan 2021 08:56@Deadree, great, that's exactly what I was looking for. It looks stylish, especially because of all the natural light. In our case, only a double-leaf element is planned facing south, which would be the eaves side, and the rooms will be higher towards the wall next to the hallway. Are you planning to use the gained space, for example with a loft bed or similar, or will it remain open?
