Hello everyone,

We are getting a wood stove with glass panels on three sides to serve as a room divider between the living room and dining room. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough information about the individual manufacturers to properly evaluate the offers.

Which fireplace inserts do you have? Leda, Brunner, Schmid, Hark? And what experiences have you had with them?

We chose Ortner and focused on thermal mass. As nice as it is to see the fire from multiple angles, if the direct radiant heat warms the room too much, it quickly becomes uncomfortable. Of course, we also want to see the fire, but in the end, comfort was the priority.

Hello,

the point about heat storage is valid and we will take it into account. Nevertheless, I would still like some information regarding the individual manufacturers, as I am not sure what to look out for.

Yesterday, we were offered an insert from the company Austroflamm. I have never heard of them before either. Could anyone provide some information about them?

Austroflamm is very well known and comparable to Schmidt. I believe you can’t go wrong with any manufacturer; the concept just needs to fit.
