Hello, I recently moved into a newly built bungalow.
This bungalow has a cold ceiling, where the wooden beam ceiling is insulated with 240mm (9.5 inches) of glass wool. The roof structure is currently not insulated but could be insulated if the attic is converted.
When I was upstairs in the last few days, I noticed behind the wall plate that in some places the glass wool in the wooden beam ceiling does not fully contact the masonry, creating some uninsulated gaps.

My question is how I can most effectively fill these gaps?
At first, I thought about closing these gaps with properly cut pieces of glass wool. Alternatively, I considered filling the spaces with loose-fill insulation in the form of small polystyrene beads, to ensure all gaps are properly filled, especially since these areas are now harder to reach.

I would be grateful for any experiences and tips.
