AndreasBauer3 Mar 2022 18:37Hello dear building community,
I want to relocate my garden gate or replace another dilapidated pillar. Unfortunately, I cannot find this design anywhere. It is probably from the early 1960s. Width 40cm (16 inches), depth 20cm (8 inches), although 40x40cm (16x16 inches) would also be fine.
If anyone could give me a tip on where to find such pillars or modules—mailboxes included—I would be very grateful!
Many thanks and best regards,
Andi

I would rather guess it's a standard design. Get some release wax and rubber or something similar to make a mold of the relief. The rest is a cuboid formwork box into which you place the mold before pouring the concrete. Any local contractor would be happy to give this nice task to their apprentices.

More like BDR, in the greater Munich area 🙂
The gate with the post will remain, but this post was easier to photograph. The entrance gate is planned to be moved. Maybe the old columns can also be preserved and refreshed a bit. A matching 8m (26 feet) long wall runs along the posts. Therefore, I would actually prefer to keep the style consistent. I had hoped that you can buy pillar stones individually to build up a pillar. New pillars and a mailbox with an intercom system… that adds up quickly. And a trash bin enclosure for several bins still needs to fit as well. Oh dear.
Thank you and best regards,
Andi
