Good morning!

I have put together an IKEA kitchen by combining various cabinet boxes, fronts, and Rationell full-extension drawers, some used and some new.

In a 60cm (24 inches) base cabinet with 5 fronts, I am still missing one full-extension drawer. Four drawers of the newer type are already installed.

Is it possible to mix an older style full-extension drawer with the newer ones? Do the drill holes match, and will the front still fit properly?

Maybe someone has experience with this?

Best regards from the North Sea,
Anke

Hello,
you can easily combine different versions in one cabinet, as long as you use drawers/pull-outs with the matching cabinet rails.

P.S.: I assume you didn’t buy the very old ones with roller guides.

Thank you for your response, IKEA expert.

No, it’s not the very old ones. I have now installed them in the cabinet. They fit for now.

Unfortunately, the parts needed to attach the front panel are not included. And the new ones don’t fit there.
So I will try to find these old parts somehow.

Thank you and have a nice Sunday!

Hello,
you can get the front brackets from IKEA customer service using the part number 113281.

Thanks, IKEA expert!

These are the parts for the new drawers, and unfortunately, they do not fit the old drawer slides. 🙁

These are for the drawer slides that were sold in Germany a few years before 2007. The current brackets are made of plastic and are longer compared to the ones I referred to.
Do you have a picture of your drawer slides?
