As a home builder, we know that in many residential areas one color tends to dominate: white. And if not white, then some other neutral shade.
Are these really your colors? What do you prefer and why?
Which colors would you consider? And are there any readers among you who have dared to explore a broader range of colors?
We at LivingHaus look forward to hearing about your experiences, feel free to share pictures as well.
Thank you, LivingHaus

We built in an older neighborhood, so our house is more than 30 years younger than all the others and definitely stands out.
We definitely did not want white; we preferred something different. It wasn’t more expensive with our supplier, anyway.
We chose a medium gray, and to keep it from looking too dull, we added colored panels in grass green between the windows. The consultant at the selection appointment just said “bold.”
We love it! The house is very distinctive. It’s something different. The landscaping hasn’t been done yet, but that will make it look tidier and, together with the greenery, create a nice overall look.
To help you understand me better: my car is orange… (yes, I would have preferred bright blue, but I definitely did not want black, gray, silver, or white!)

We’ve all seen these houses before... dark blue, pink, bright red... I’m just thankful there are building regulations or planning permissions that limit this. If everyone were that "bold," a new development would look like a kindergarten neighborhood. It seems like almost everyone tries to build something loudly "unique"... you have to wonder why. What’s so wrong with subtle colors? Does it have to be so eye-catching that you can see the house from a 1km (0.6 mile) radius?
Subtle colors like beige or light gray are fine, but that’s different from red.

Some people like it, others don’t — that’s the simple answer to your question.
It has nothing to do with being grown-up either.
If it’s allowed in the building plan / planning permission, there’s nothing you can do about it and you have to accept if your neighbor paints their house dark purple. That’s why I’m glad when it’s not allowed from the start; it’s simply a matter of personal taste.
