TianchenHello,
we are currently having a mono-pitch roof house with an 8° roof pitch built by the developer, and soon we need to inform the painter how we want our facade (color and pattern) to be designed.
My husband and I agree on the color... we want an ochre tone. The roof overhangs (50cm (20 inches) on the terrace side, and 20cm (8 inches) on the other sides) will be white.
We were thinking about adding white trim to the corners of the house (running continuously from the bottom up to under the roof), but we are not sure about the width. The house is 10.19m (33.4 feet) wide and 9.19m (30.2 feet) deep.
Around the windows, we imagined white surrounds. Since we will be living in a village, we prefer not to stand out too much, so the facade should not be entirely colored.
Perhaps someone here is more creative than we are and has an idea that could look better. I’m attaching the house elevation and would be very grateful!

Are you familiar with the Brillux Color Designer? It’s a program by Brillux Farbenwerke. Try experimenting with it. Instead of white accents, I would suggest combining ochre with a light gray. Give it a try in the Color Designer.
Another nice combination is white RAL 9010 or 9016 with a vibrant red, not too rusty, more like a signal red, similar to the old railway crossing gates.

Thank you for the tip, I wasn’t familiar with the color designer before. I’ll give it a try later.
Unfortunately, gray is not really our preference, partly because there is already a bungalow and a townhouse in gray on the street. The housing development, which currently consists of 21 houses, is very diverse—no two homes look alike.
Last night, we made another attempt. I’m attaching the result and look forward to your feedback...

We had considered making white edges at the corners of the house (running continuously from the bottom up to just under the roof), but we’re not quite sure how wide they should be. I would suggest using apricot instead of ochre here; in the attachment, I quickly sketched where I would place the white areas (shown here in purple):
Sorry, there’s a small mistake: on the narrow sides, the colored area should of course also continue up under the roof.
