dirk_krefeld19 Oct 2016 22:10Dear IKEA fans!
We are currently ordering a new kitchen, which we are planning with IKEA. We would like to install the VINDIG range hood, weighing about 13kg (29 lbs). Question: The entire wall has no power outlet, as it is a 10cm (4 inch) thick single-layer drywall (plasterboard). It is a built-in wall, basically only attached on one long side to a masonry wall. Is it possible to mount the range hood? And how would one run (or have installed) a cable from the other wall (L-shaped kitchen)?
Best regards,

We have already made a Udden from the Vindig, which weighs only 6kg (13 lbs). It will be installed tomorrow, and I will report on how it went.

Herr rossi13 Nov 2016 22:14Hi Dirk
There are expansion anchors from Fischer that are expanded using a special tool. I have already used them to hang wall cabinets of a living room wall unit on drywall. I would route the cable directly above the wall cabinets and secure it to the side panels with nail clips.
