Due to the house construction and excavation work, the top layer consists only of sand—almost like a beach. It is difficult to walk on and impossible to drive on.
In the front area of the property, the ground is nearly at street level, but there is a significant drop at the back.
What is the best way to obtain good, stable soil?
My suggestion as a layperson:
Remove the construction sand from the front and sides and move it to the back to level the area. Then bring in humus or topsoil and add a nice layer on top.
Would this be a suitable approach? The lawn and paving work will also be done, of course.
Thanks in advance.
