I am new here and have already read through some posts but still have a few questions. I hope I am writing in the right section.
Three years ago, we bought a miner’s house and renovated it to improve energy efficiency. Now, since the houses are quite small, we would like to build an extension. This extension is only allowed to be 25 sqm (270 sq ft) in size, as anything larger would not be approved here. Ideally, I would like to create a terrace on the roof of the extension, but I’m not sure if that is feasible.
So, here is my question. We plan to contribute a lot of labor ourselves and have been searching the internet for days, but we can hardly find any clear information about costs. Everything seems very variable.
A friend who is currently renovating said that it should be possible with about €15,000. To be honest, I find that hard to believe.
Does KfW still offer funding for extensions?
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Sandra
