ᐅ Exposed steel mesh

One corner of my shell structure was poured with concrete. Inside are steel bars. Due to a measuring error, the concrete was removed down to the steel reinforcement. Could anything happen if the concrete does not fully cover the steel?

Of course, it rusts and thus loses its structural function – will something be applied over it again?

So, insulation will definitely be installed.

That’s not enough – the steel should have some function, right?
