Hello everyone,
a quick question regarding experts:
Would you value a Dekra or TÜV certificate, or what criteria do you use to choose your expert?
Would you (in the future) spend money on supervision during the construction phase?
Best regards, Jann

I’ll go ahead and check who is listed in our area.Wow, really limited options. Within about a 40-minute drive, there are basically only two alternatives. East Berlin, on the other hand, seems to be a hub for experts 🤨A
AllThumbs11 Jun 2021 11:36I have now received feedback through this Bauexperts site. A nice gentleman, and the price seems reasonable.
However, when I google him, he appears to be a building energy consultant. Would that still be suitable?

For us, having fewer construction defects was more important than the last decimal place in the house’s energy balance. Haha, same here. That’s why I was unsure about focusing on the building energy consultant. But we’ll go ahead with it now. If it turns out to be useless, then we’ll just stick to the one appointment, and at least the site manager knows that we’re taking a closer look (or having it looked at).
All the construction workers at our site knew that inspections would take place, so they worked accordingly with great precision. The expert informed us that the company builds very well and that the house turned out to be of high quality. Inform the general contractor now that inspections are taking place; he will then instruct his team, because doing any work twice is not budgeted.
