Hello everyone,

a quick question regarding experts:

Would you value a Dekra or TÜV certificate, or what criteria do you use to choose your expert?
Would you (in the future) spend money on supervision during the construction phase?

Best regards, Jann

Gross or net?
Gross would be cheaper, but I would suspect that the appointment might be rushed. Net would be normal, with shorter appointments somewhat more expensive depending on travel time.

Including value-added tax
The following is likely included:

The total time commitment of the building surveyor for the on-site appointment, including travel time to and from the site, is a maximum of 2 hours. Our flat rates include the surveyor’s travel costs within a 10-meter (33-foot) radius from the surveyor’s office as well as a 5% overhead cost allowance.

Additional charges would be:
Hourly rate, per hour €130.00
Travel costs (additional kilometers) €0.75/km
Overhead cost allowance (copying, postage, and telephone costs) as a percentage of the net invoice amount 5%

OK, then the flat rate is rather standard. What exceeds the limits (which are probably always fully used) tends to be a bit more expensive. However, I only have comparisons from Berlin.

The Berlin comparison fits, even if it is at a completely different location from you.

My offers usually come from central Berlin, so I have a somewhat longer travel time and have always charged more than your 399 EUR. But wait and see if you can really find someone at short notice. That was the problem for me.

Let's see when they get back to me and what the actual travel distance will be.
At the same time, I also contacted TÜV Nord. It will probably cost more there, simply because it’s TÜV after all 🙄
Can you recommend anyone else? Regardless of their availability?

You might want to contact the Homeowners’ Protection Association.
