Hello, I have been following the forum for a while and have gathered some helpful advice for our building project.
Now I have a question that I couldn’t find an answer to in the search: we are currently at the shell construction stage, and we need to start making decisions regarding the flooring. I had always planned to install wood flooring in the living and dining areas (oak or similar). After our recent vacation in Austria, however, I am very impressed with Swiss pine (also known as cedar pine). I really liked the scent and the indoor climate it created. Since this type of wood is uncommon in our region, I wonder if anyone has experience with Swiss pine floors? Is it suitable for underfloor heating with low flow temperatures? How durable are these floors under long-term use? (We have two small children, and the one week we spent in the hotel was not enough to judge.)
Thank you
