Hello everyone! We will start building in the near future. We already have a suitable plot of land. We want brick cladding mainly for the appearance. However, since we would need to completely revise our floor plans, which would either reduce the living space or significantly increase the costs due to the larger area, I have been considering brick slips. Can anyone share their experience? How do the costs compare to other types of brick cladding? How is the installation? Easier or more complicated? Would it be possible, in theory, to install brick slips over render?

Thin brick slips are designed exactly for this purpose: to provide the appearance without adding much thickness, and they can be retrofitted even on already plastered walls, essentially acting like bricks as wall tiles. They are "glued" on, whereas full bricks for interior walls are built up layer by layer, resting on the brick course below and must be anchored into the structural wall shell.

In terms of thickness, thin brick slips are about 3 cm (1.2 inches) in total, while full bricks are approximately 10 cm (4 inches) thicker.

Many thanks, I believe that would also be more cost-effective, right?
