Hello Dear Community.

In another thread, the topic of rimless toilets came up.
I would appreciate it if those of you who already own such a model could share your experiences.
I personally chose the Keramag Icon/4U model.
Thanks to ypg, I won’t be changing my decision anymore.
However, there may still be other community members who are facing this decision.

Good luck

Hello Maria,

in this case, you can only go with Duravit. A bit of local pride is understandable. DURAVIT is from Hornberg in the Black Forest!

Supplement + Warning.

The toilets are very expensive; the toilet seat alone costs over 200€.
A standard toilet seat from a hardware store will not fit,
You need to go to the installer or a wholesale supplier.

A standard toilet seat should fit on the Keramag Renova 1.
We have a rimless toilet from Vigour (Derby), which is supposed to be identical in design to Keramag, and we use a standard toilet seat on it.

Standard seats, yes, but I would exclude the colorful patterned ones (including the 3D shark) since these usually have an oval shape and therefore do not fit the Renova, which is not oval.

We have a rimless model from Keramag. The service had to come and install a flow restrictor in the flush because it was splashing water everywhere. It works properly now. However, the underside of the toilet seat is already quite unpleasant in places.

I probably wouldn’t choose this one again…

A well-known plumbing wholesaler told me a few months ago that Keramag had a delivery stop for the rimless toilets. Reason: water splashes over the edge and makes a mess everywhere. After they made some improvements, deliveries resumed.

No idea what exactly was wrong. We will be getting the Keramag Renova No. 1 soon, and I hope it’s OK.
