Hello Dear Community.
In another thread, the topic of rimless toilets came up.
I would appreciate it if those of you who already own such a model could share your experiences.
I personally chose the Keramag Icon/4U model.
Thanks to ypg, I won’t be changing my decision anymore.
However, there may still be other community members who are facing this decision.
Good luck

As far as I know, the standard is about 40cm (16 inches) plus the lid. My bathroom installer also asked me about this and advised adding 5cm (2 inches), which I had done. However, I’m not exactly sure if he was referring to precisely 40cm (16 inches); I would need to measure to be certain.

Deliverer9 Jun 2016 11:43I find the current trend of increasingly higher toilets to be problematic.
The ergonomically correct posture for using the toilet is, due to evolution, the squat position. Only then does everything pass smoothly without complications. The higher the hips are positioned, the further one moves away from the correct posture, which can make bowel movements more difficult and potentially lead to secondary issues.
For this reason, I install my toilets at a lower height. Since older people often have more difficulty with bowel movements than younger ones, I would especially make sure that toilets are not raised solely for convenience when standing up. In my opinion, a grab bar is a better solution.
A simple test: try placing a small stool in front of the toilet and rest your feet on it for a week.

Sebastian799 Jun 2016 11:47Very good point – in the second-to-last place we also had age-appropriate living, and I couldn’t get my feet flat on the floor…
I measured the guest bathroom at my parents’ house, as I have really enjoyed sitting there for years.

Herzkelle21 Sep 2017 21:00Hello, we have a rimless toilet from Keramag, myDay series.
Experience: never again Keramag. From the email correspondence:
"Dear Sir or Madam,
we are not complaining about a production defect but a design flaw. This issue is not visible upon delivery but only becomes apparent with daily use. You advertise this product as hygienic, clean, and easy to maintain, which we cannot confirm at all. After every use by a female person, the bowl and the front area of the toilet seat need to be cleaned of urine splashes despite flushing (urine splashes between the bowl rim and the toilet seat).
We do not accept your offer to repair the defect.
We again insist that you fix this issue free of charge for us. If this is not possible, we demand a return and refund of the purchase price."
Keramag only wants to deliver a rimless toilet free of charge but does not want to reimburse the large price difference. Conclusion: we installed Keramag products 20 years ago and were very satisfied. Now, after completely renovating the guest bathroom, we have this problem with the rimless toilet. The renovation of the main bathroom next year will definitely be done without any products from Keramag.
