Hello Dear Community.

In another thread, the topic of rimless toilets came up.
I would appreciate it if those of you who already own such a model could share your experiences.
I personally chose the Keramag Icon/4U model.
Thanks to ypg, I won’t be changing my decision anymore.
However, there may still be other community members who are facing this decision.

Good luck

You can always decide the height of the toilets yourself – the built-in cistern will then be installed accordingly.

Are you sure? There should be a standard (like a DIN) that specifies exactly where the connections in the wall need to be located. That way, you can only adjust the height above the ceramic fixture.

But if that’s not the case, even better. You can install the connections at a higher level from the start and then have the option to choose.

There is no specific DIN standard for this – there are some standard measurements, but these are only examples.

You can choose as you like, and then the connections will be installed accordingly.

I can only agree with that. Our plumber even asked proactively if the toilet should be installed a little higher. During the construction phase, you just have to make sure not to miss the right moment. I wouldn’t rely on it being done just because it was mentioned in a preliminary discussion...

Ok, then this will be included in the scope of work. I found a DIN standard somewhere on Google that specifies the connections at a seat height of 42cm (16.5 inches). Then we will ignore that.

We chose 45cm (18 inches), I believe...

The DIN height standard is outdated and too low for almost everyone. A higher height is only slightly less suitable for small children. But eventually, everyone grows taller.

We have 48cm (19 inches).

As mentioned before, the height can be set once during construction. Lowering it later is not easily possible, since the entire toilet is supported by the threaded rod and it must securely hold the weight of a person while hanging (the forces involved are considerable!).
