Hello Dear Community.

In another thread, the topic of rimless toilets came up.
I would appreciate it if those of you who already own such a model could share your experiences.
I personally chose the Keramag Icon/4U model.
Thanks to ypg, I won’t be changing my decision anymore.
However, there may still be other community members who are facing this decision.

Good luck

Rimless toilet and Toilet seat with soft-close mechanism

The tests are interesting.
There is also a soft-close toilet seat available for the Toto model, which I hadn’t noticed before. Of course, it is specifically designed for Toto.
It’s great that you can order these toilets directly online. Our installer didn’t want to install anything we bought ourselves. So we had to purchase it through the bathroom supplier (including the toilet seat, about 1,000 euros per toilet).

Hello @Skaddler
Yes, the Ferguson would really be a dream. That’s a men’s toilet. Ah – how I miss this episode of my all-time favorite TV series.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the prices for the Toto online. They are quite high. Our plumbing company only wanted to install the Toto if it came from the bathroom supplier (because of the warranty). The bathroom supplier charged as much as 842 euros + VAT. That’s a lot to swallow for two toilets. I specifically asked the plumber if we could buy the Toto online. No way – no warranty. But as I said before: if my wife and daughter won’t be dissuaded, Dad will have to bite the very sour apple.

We couldn’t install it ourselves – and none of our acquaintances had a plumber available (at least not within 600 km (375 miles)).

In general, you can say that internet prices for plumbing fixtures are not really applicable. If you want to use those prices, you need someone to do the installation.

Well, screwing a toilet to the wall is something you can manage even with two left hands, even if all ten fingers were thumbs *lol* I wouldn’t have paid 1000 euros (about 1100 US dollars) per toilet or asked the kids if they thought it was worth some of their pocket money...
From what I saw in my Google search, the look didn’t justify such a high extra cost.

Visually, my Google search results definitely didn’t justify such an extra cost.

That’s also what the Subway 2.0 has.

Are there rimless wall-mounted toilets with a seat height of about 48cm (19 inches)? Simply installing the toilet higher on the wall probably isn’t that easy if the connections are standardized. Or is it possible to request that the connections be set 8cm (3 inches) higher?

You can always decide the height of the toilets yourself – the in-wall cistern will then be installed accordingly.

During the selection process, we also tried sitting on a height-adjustable toilet. I don't remember the exact height, but it was at least 7 cm (3 inches) higher.

We are both quite tall and find it comfortable! Even my grandparents noticed it positively when they visited for the first time. For them, standing up was easier because it was not so low.
